Welcome to Style Swap Australia. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for buyers attending our upscale premium second-hand fashion event. By attending or purchasing from this event, you agree to the following terms:

1. Event Participation

1.1. Admission: Entry to the event is available to all. Admission may be free or ticketed depending on the event. Check specific event details for entry fees.

1.2. Behaviour: Buyers are expected to act respectfully towards all sellers, staff, and fellow shoppers. We reserve the right to remove anyone behaving inappropriately.

2. Purchasing Items

2.1. Condition of Items: All items sold at the event are second-hand. While sellers strive to provide accurate descriptions and quality products, all items are sold as-is. Please carefully inspect any item prior to purchase.

2.2. No Guarantees: The event does not guarantee the authenticity, quality, or condition of items sold. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure they are satisfied with the item before purchasing.

2.3. Refunds and Exchanges: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.

3. Payment Terms

3.1. Forms of Payment: Sellers may accept various forms of payment, including cash, credit card, or digital payments. Ensure you confirm payment options with each seller.

3.2. Transaction Responsibility: Buyers are responsible for ensuring they pay the correct amount for items purchased. The event is not liable for any transaction discrepancies between buyers and sellers.

4. Vendor Interaction

4.1. Independent Sellers: Sellers at the event are independent and do not represent the event or its organisers. All sales and transactions are made directly between the buyer and the seller.

4.2. Disputes: Any disputes regarding purchases or items should be addressed directly with the seller. The event is not responsible for resolving disputes between buyers and sellers.

5. Liability

5.1. Personal Belongings: Buyers are responsible for the security of their personal belongings. The event is not liable for any lost or stolen items.

5.2. Damage or Injury: The event and its organisers are not responsible for any damages, injuries, or losses incurred during the event, whether related to purchased items or participation in the event.

6. Privacy and Data

6.1. Personal Information: Buyers may be required to provide certain personal information, such as email addresses, for event entry or communications. We respect your privacy and will not share your information with third parties without consent.

6.2. Marketing: By attending the event, you agree to allow us to take and use photographs or videos for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform a member of our staff.

Thank you for participating in Style Swap Australia. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for sellers at our upscale premium second-hand fashion event. By booking a space and participating as a seller, you agree to the following terms:

1. Event Participation

1.1. Seller Application: All potential sellers must submit an application online for a boutique space at the event. Only successful applicants will be invited to participate. Approval is based on the quality and curation of items, alignment with the event’s standards, and availability of spaces.

1.2. Payment Upon Approval: Once an application is approved, sellers will receive a confirmation along with payment instructions. Payment must be completed within 24 hours of approval to secure the boutique space.

1.3. Event Access: Approved sellers are required to arrive and set up within the designated setup time and must keep their space open for the full duration of the event. Early packing up or late arrival is not permitted without prior approval.

1.4. Seller Behaviour: Sellers must conduct themselves professionally and courteously towards buyers, staff, and other sellers. The event reserves the right to remove any seller engaging in inappropriate behaviour.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1. Space Allocation: Spaces are not allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Sellers must apply for a space, and only successful applicants will be offered a spot at the event. Allocation is based on the quality, curation, and appropriateness of items for the event.

2.2. Payment Process: Once a seller’s application is approved, payment details will be provided. Payment must be made within 24 hours to confirm the allocated space. Failure to make the payment within the designated time may result in forfeiture of the space.

2.3. Non-Refundable Fee: All payments made for a space are non-refundable, regardless of circumstances, including cancellations, no-shows, or inability to attend the event. Please ensure your availability and commitment before applying.

3. Product Guidelines

3.1. Item Quality: All items for sale must be second-hand and in good, wearable condition. Sellers must accurately represent their products to buyers.

3.2. Prohibited Items: The sale of counterfeit goods, illegal items, or any products that violate intellectual property laws is strictly prohibited. Sellers found selling such items will be removed from the event.

3.3. Item Pricing: Sellers are responsible for pricing their own items. All items must have visible price tags for easy reference. Price tags must have an allocated boutique space number, which will be provided by the event, and a classification of BNWT (Brand New With Tags), LN (Like New), GU (Gently Used), or WW (Well Worn).

4. Transactions

4.1. Payment Methods: Sellers are responsible for providing their own payment solutions, including cash, credit card, or digital payments (e.g., mobile apps). Ensure you are prepared to process payments smoothly.

4.2.Transaction Responsibility: All sales and transactions are made directly between the seller and the buyer. The event is not liable for any issues that arise in payment or product disputes.

4.3. Receipts: It is recommended that sellers provide buyers with a receipt or proof of purchase, especially for higher-value items.

5. Liability

5.1. Seller Liability: Sellers are fully responsible for their space, products, and any transactions. The event is not liable for any loss, theft, damage, or disputes arising from sales or products.

5.2. Insurance: Sellers are encouraged to carry their own insurance for personal liability and product coverage. The event does not provide insurance for sellers or their items.

5.3. Personal Injury: The event is not responsible for any injury sustained by sellers or their associates during the event.

6. Setup and Breakdown

6.1. Setup Time: Sellers must arrive and set up their spaces within the designated time frame. Late arrivals may forfeit their space without a refund.

6.2. Display and Space Management: All seller displays must remain within the allocated space. Sellers are responsible for maintaining a tidy, safe, and visually appealing setup.

6.3. Breakdown Time: Sellers are required to pack up and vacate their spaces by the designated breakdown time. All belongings must be removed, and the space must be left clean.

7. Marketing and Promotion

7.1. Event Promotion: Photographs or videos may be taken by event staff, which may include sellers and their displays, for promotional purposes. By participating, you agree to allow us to use these materials for marketing.

7.2. Seller Promotion: Sellers are encouraged to promote their participation in the event via social media and other channels. The event may provide promotional materials to assist in this.

8. Seller Conduct

8.1. Compliance: Sellers must comply with all event rules, including local laws and regulations, health and safety codes, and intellectual property laws.

8.2. Disputes with Buyers: Any disputes with buyers should be handled respectfully and privately. The event is not responsible for mediating disputes between buyers and sellers.
